Ek Je Chilo Raja

Gupi Gayen Bagha Bayen, a magical  film with legends have innumerable memories to cherish for the lifetime. 50 years, a golden jublee of an Indian cinema is surely a glory to every Bengali.Satyajit ray, the legend himself portrayed his own ideologies in the story written by his grandfather, just to make his son’s childhood memories superior.

Being  a Bengali, from the very childhood, I have shared various hours with the books of Rays and his creation of multiple films. I am a true fan of him, exploring Ray beyond words, portraying million dimensions to his creative personality is overreaching understanding of art.


Today, when I came to know about a bunch of stars coming at KLF to celebrate 50 years of Gupi Gayen Bagha Bayen, I just couldn’t resist myself from attending the session named ” Bhuter Raja Dilo Bor”. Every person related to Ray’s work from the industry were present and to moderate the session, the director of Patrabharati Tridib Kumar Chatterjee was lit. Eminent persona like Sabyasachi Chakreborty, Barun Chanda, Tinnu Anand, Purnima Dutta, Sandip Ray were gracefully attending the literature festival to share some authentic views on films, Rays and their connection with Manik Da.

Yes, 8th Feb, 2019 will always be one of the most special days of my life, meeting my all time favourites have been my dream comes true. I’ll truly cherish this day for the years to come. And the most wonderful part of today’s KLF was a performance by Script Production Ek Je Chilo Raja which beautifully portrayed the comeback of Gupi and Bagha in the 21st century, with an authentic musical drama by them is truly heart warming. All credit goes to Shinjan Mitra for the warm welcome speech and such special gathering of stars and organising such magnificent performance all total.

The day is truly overwhelming to be remembered forever, with the starry evening and such wonder performance, the two truly freshened  up my heart with joy and glory.
